Vitasoy soymilk & Children

Infants and toddlers

If your child is under 2 years of age, please discuss the use of soymilk as the primary milk drink with your child's health professional, who will provide appropriate individual dietary advice.

Low fat soymilk and Ricemilk are not recommended for children below the age of 2 years as fat is an important energy source for infants and young children. In human breast milk, 50% of the energy comes from fat. Dietary fat also supplies essential fatty acids such as linoleic and linolenic acids, which are required for healthy growth.

Pre-school aged children
